In this video, I'm doing a playthrough of a game that is based on the Marvel Comics and that game is: The Punisher. This game was developed and published by Capcom, it was released in the Arcade in 1993. The Punisher was also ported to the Sega Mega Drive (aka Genesis), released in North America in 1994 and the PAL region in 1995. The Punisher is an Arcade side-scrolling beat 'em up and it's up to the Marvel Comics' anti-hero: The Punisher (Player 1) and co-stars S.H.I.E.L.D. agent: Nick Fury (Player 2) to go on a mission to kill the crime lord: the Kingpin and bring down his organization. This game has the same beat 'em up formula Capcom games, such as: Final Fight and Captain Commando. The game has also some melee weapons to pick up, such as: baseball bats and Japanese swords, throwing weapons like: knives and shuriken and finally some improvised weapons, such as: lead pipes, car tires, and a crude flamethrower. The players: Frank Castle aka The Punisher and Nick Fury carrying also a gun for shooting the enemies and a hand grenade, while you're jumping and attack at the same time. There are 6 stages and 1 bonus stage in this game. The final boss is the crime lord: the Kingpin. I really like Marvel, because the only series that I liked when I was younger, such as: X-Men, Spider-Man and Iron Man and to the present day, I still like watching Marvel cartoon series, such as: Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and I really liked the movies, based on the Marvel Comics as well. As for The Punisher, I never heard of him before, because I remembered him only in Spider-Man for the PlayStation and PC. Overall, The Punisher is a pretty good Arcade beat 'em up, just like Final Fight and if you like this game, then go check this out to play on MAME or the Sega Mega Drive (aka Genesis). I hope you enjoy this playthrough of The Punisher for the Arcade and thanks for watching!
