YO!

Here's another devlog video. In this one, we see energy being implemented, some GUI for health and energy, and a new leg part. Also, a bit of bloom and a vignette filter to help make things look a tad more interesting.

The GUI's now in, and looking stylish, if a bit "out of place" with the game's current aesthetics. But that's OK; they stand out, which is the most important.

Parts now consume energy when you use them (except for moving and jumping), so you need to watch your gauge to ensure that you don't get yourself into a pickle. I think it's a cool mechanic in lieu of something like special weapon ammo, but I think it's a bit too unforgiving currently. Making the weapons take less energy would probably be a good idea.

The leg part (skates, I think) boost by double-tapping on the movement buttons. You'll keep boosting until you run out of energy, you let go of a button, or you run into an object; I need to finesse this a bit more, but it's fun to sprint around the game world.

Anyway, that's it! Thanks for watching!
