Go Go Goblin is a great game that gives you control of a green goblin gallivanting over the green grass while trying to get around the gruesome obstacles guarding the way. Yup, that's the game in a nutshell of "g"s.

Go Go Goblin certainly looks like a simple distance shooting game. Just like any other distance game, you start out by timing your initial lift off and trying to get as far as possible. What's different here though is that you've got some control over your goblin allowing you to get farther than you would with a simple toss. But first, what's the game look like?

You'd think there would be only so much you could do in a game about tossing a goblin from a catapult. It thus comes as a nice surprise that the game has a rather wide array of animations and graphics that really spice the game up. Each of the different powerups you can get cause your goblin to change appearance upon activation. Some of the powerups you can get are wings that allow you to glide farther, wooden rockets that boost you farther and higher, or even bouncy balls that you can ride to gain better distance. And each of these have their own little animations that make them all a pleasure to view.

For the most part, the controls are really dependent on your initial launch. While you do have some control during the flight, you do have to make sure that you've got a good initial launch. Without that, it won't matter what powerups you've got, you won't get too far. Once you do get those powerups though, a good launch will get you rather impressive jumps.

Along the way in the jump, you'll run into various obstacles and boosts. The most common will be barrels of gunpowder. Rather than blasting you to smithereens, they instead blast your seemingly invincible goblin skywards prolonging your jump. The same works with the rare knights, who will smack you up into the air. The two main obstacles you'll run into are campfires and spikes. Why a campfire slows you down while a flaming explosion helps you is a mystery though. Of the two, the spikes are the most dangerous as they'll stop your jump dead. One way to get around that though is to get the armor powerup which will allow you to take multiple hits before unfortunately snuffing it.

All in all, Go Go Goblin is a great game. It's perfect for competitive sorts who want to get the best distances possible. And even if you're not too competitive, it's still good solid fun, so go on and give it a shot!
