Grandia ReDux is a hack that modifies many things in game. Character stats are greatly changed, skills are buffed/nerfed, equipment changed, new items/spells, and most importantly, the difficulty has been rebalanced to provide a more challenging game overall.

Head here to find patches for both discs:

ISOs should be easy enough to find on your own.

Final dungeon has been breached, but the bosses prove to be tougher than ever now.

Gaia Trent, if you haven't guessed by the name already, is an upgraded version of the first boss of the 2nd disc.

The usual body parts are in play for this fight and sport some amazingly high offensive stats.

Main body has 19000 HP & a massive Str stat. That will make its physical attack hit for 350+ damage to whomever it targets. Suddenly the fact I might have been overleveled for several boss fights goes away quickly, doesn't it?

Also, it has access to Nasty Gas, an attack with a huge radius of effect stemming from its body. It hits for light damage (60-90), but it can also induce Plague. Get rid of that ASAP, even if it means using Tree of Life solely to remove Plague from 3-4 people.

Flower has 21000 HP and its signature attack, Flower Beam. Unlike Trent's version, this doesn't have any Forest elemental attached to it. That sucks for Liete because this attack hits anyone in its path for 350-400 damage. Liete will likely be going down in a single hit here unless she's got at least 400+ HP maximum.

Arm has only 13000 HP and can hit multiple people for 150-250 damage with its normal attack. That's all it can do.

So, strategy is more or less the same with any major battle, but with some minor tweaks to my opening buffing strategy. Basically, Liete throws Mage Lips toward Feena for a +5 Wit buff, then Feena fires off Time Gate, followed by opening up with WOW! on the males first, then a Speedy towards Liete, then getting the hell away from everyone so she isn't AoE'd to death, then Boost on the males if she has enough time.

To explain the difference in strategy here...a higher +Wit buff means Feena can get an extra turn or two out of her Time Gate. On top of that, it seems if you boost anyone's Wit during Time Gate, Feena will slow up a bit on the IP gauge, hence why I cast my Speedy & Boost spells with Feena last. Thanks to MirrormanEXE on the GameFAQs boards for providing that information. Most helpful.

Anyways, with buffs in place, Rapp & Justin go to town on the main body. All those equips with +atk & +skill power on Rapp add up immensely in this fight. Even with the main body's respectable 650 Vit, a +7 atk buff on Rapp makes Doppelganger smack it for around the 4000 damage mark. Justin with a +7 atk buff does nice damage too, ~2500 or so.

Surviving all those powerful attacks though is tricky. Protect should be readied with Liete should either of those two characters fall to near death status in order to keep them alive for that much longer.

Feena should only be concerned with Tree of Life or Resurrect spammage, attacking only for lulzs basically (Seriously, watch that damage on the one Zap! Whip I have her use).

The reward for this battle is a Magus Fang, a dagger with pretty decent attack power and a +2 boost to magic. This is more suited to someone with a solid damaging killer move like Rapp who can then fall back on spells like Meteor Strike when he's out of SP.
