GTA V on PS3 - Disable Internet for Version 1.00 and Where the Patches/Updates File Is Located
0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-j_DugAnpgM - Ever since my old Backward Compatible PS3 has died April 2019, I had to buy a NEW PS3. Unfortunately, as I stated 896589 times before, it's not backward compatible to PS2 Discs anymore. Not only that, the only *NEW* PS3's I could find, meaning, NOT USED, only had 12 GB Hard Drives, thus I settled with one of those.
This means, on this NEW PS3 I am using now, I physically can't even install the Patches/Updates, period, due to GTA V on Version 1.00 being 8 GB of space and WITH all the Patches, it would be OVER 12 GB. So if I were to try and install them, the Hard Drive would run out of space and the installation would be canceled. With that said, I still SHOW THE LOCATION of where such Patches/Updates File is created and stored on the PS3's Hard Drive and how to delete it. I also SHOW THE LOCATION of where the Connection Settings is and how to DISABLE your Internet Connection on the PS3 so that when GTA V boots up, it physically won't ever search for Updates and remain on Version 1.00, provided that you do not have any Patches already installed.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdvW5iBLtbo - This was my OLD Starter Save on PS3 which was created on the dead and gone BC PS3 where I was able to install all the Patches OR remain on 1.00 since that PS3's Hard Drive was much bigger (I believe 64 GB or something?). But with this NEW PS3, the ONLY WAY I can play is Version 1.00. Not that I am complaining, though. Old Gen and Version 1.00 is by far superior than playing with Patches installed!
The only downside of this new PS3 I have is that since it has a 12 GB Hard Drive capacity, I have to either have JUST GTA V installed on it OR, JUST GTA IV + EfLC installed on it. I can't have IV, TLaD, TBoGT, and V installed on it ALL AT THE SAME TIME. That gets annoying always having to delete the Install File and then reinstall it when I want to play a different HD Era GTA on my PS3. Luckily, I kept GTA V installed since some months ago when I finished my 4th 100% Save File and now am ready to do my 5th and FINAL 100% Save File!
Oh, and about the Patches/Updates File. To install that on PS3, it would take about 30 whole minutes to finally all download and update. Then, if you want to delete it and go back to Version 1.00? It would then take another 25-30 minutes just to delete the damn thing! All for what? A bunch of GTA Online Updates that are completely irrelevant these days to Old Gen Consoles and GTA V? I have never played GTA Online to date, and never will. There is no appeal with that nonsense, so why do I have to suffer and install a bunch of Patches for hours when all of them are pertaining to Online and ruining Single Player? Yeah, exactly. You're in denial and living under a rock if you think something other than Old Gen Version 1.00 is better.
Anyways, let us begin! Likely today, I will get the FIRST of 29 total Special Vehicles on my List for my 5th 100% Save File (Lustered/EC Silver Baller). Going to take all of this sort of slow since it's my last Save I will ever assemble as I am getting tired of it all and there is no reason to continue to do it anymore after this one. Notice that "Tunnel of Death" Save for GTA IV where the Save Files are located? Yeah, that is a Save from my 5th 100% Save File for GTA IV that I finished a few months ago now. I saved the game in another Slot and kept that on my PS3 for this very moment as when I finish off GTA V, I will try and record that EC Red and White Maverick once and for all instead of wasting my time doing a 6th 100% Save File which isn't needed. Like GTA V, and IV, there isn't many WORTHY Special Vehicles to obtain anymore beyond the Save Files I already have done and completed, so yeah, I truly believe finally that after the GTA V Save is finished off, I am done with Save Assembling and will just be messing around after that. Though, going to get my PS2 out after all the V and IV stuff is taken care of and be recording all Missions and stuff, Island by Island without Failures and stuff, each 3D Era GTA starting with GTA III since it takes a day or two. VC also takes a day or two. SA will take a less than a week. LCS will take a few days. VCS will take a few days. Yup, quick, cuz it's simple. I haven't had the real PS2 out in a few months ever since I recorded the UH Conversion 2 of 2 with OM0 and UH/DP Bike Conversion without OM0 in LCS several months ago. Meanwhile, people are practicing every single day to "be fast" and "be good" at a GTA. I'll just casually get the Console out one day and do it first try. GTA is like riding a bike, you don't forget................Unless you suck. Time to pick a new gaming series! ;) I did some PCSX2 lag fest Mission stuff some months ago, but now it's time on the REAL PS2, the competent Console.
