GTA V Special Vehicle Guide: AP Conversion (Both Methods) (PS4/XboxOne/PC ONLY)
0In this Video, I show how to convert Vehicles into AP form (All Proof) in Free Roam at any time. After I convert a NE Police Cruiser and Bati 801 into AP, I reload the Save and show that they are still there as well as the AP Properties.
This ONLY WORKS on PS4, XboxOne, and PC! It does NOT work on PS3 or Xbox360 since no Interior Garage Animations exist for those Platforms! It was only added to the Next Gen Versions of GTA V!
This Video shows BOTH Methods on how to convert ANY VEHICLE THAT IS ACCEPTED BY THE INTERIOR GARAGE (except a Taxi) into AP form. What I mean by this is if you can drive said Vehicle Model up to the Interior Garage and press the button to enter the Garage, then that means the Vehicle is ACCEPTED by the Garage and can be converted to AP. While you CAN store ANYTHING inside the Interior Garage, even on Next Gen Platforms, stuff like Helicopters, Planes, and Trucks/Vans can NOT be converted into AP since they are not NATURALLY accepted by the Interior Garage and rather use an exploit to get them inside of there. THOSE kind of Vehicles can NOT be converted into AP form! All your standard Cars (Sedans, Coupes, etc) and Motorcycles/Blazers can be converted into AP, though.
You can also convert a Taxi into AP form, and, it's actually going to be ONE TIME ONLY rather than just Rare since converting a Taxi into AP requires actual Missions to pull it off instead of doing it in Free Roam. Unlike in GTA IV, the rubber on the tires does NOT burn away in GTA V when fire touches it! With that said, AP Properties are much different in the HD Era compared to the 3D Era. Example is the DP Property. Crash all you want in the HD Era. Your Vehicle will still show cosmetic damage (dents, scrapes, etc), but it'll never smoke, catch fire, or blow up!
The Method to pull off the AP Conversion in GTA V is very simple and I will explain both Methods now. For the Method to convert something OTHER THAN A BIKE (it still works for Bikes all the same though) would require you to have a Taxi and said Vehicle you want to convert into AP form. Just park your Vehicle you want to convert into AP form in front of the Interior Garage with the driver's door open for quicker access back inside of it. Now, just drive the Taxi near the Vehicle you want to convert, press the button to activate a Taxi Job, exit the Taxi, enter the Vehicle you want to convert, and now just wait for the Dispatcher to ALMOST end the Dialog and then press the button to ENTER the Interior Garage and then spam the Exit Vehicle button! If done successfully, you will see the Vehicle OUTSIDE of the Interior Garage like in the Video and now just enter it, press accelerate, and you will be taken out of the Interior Garage with your Vehicle in AP form! For the Motorcycles/Blazers, you can use the SAME EXACT METHOD with the Taxi, however, there is a slightly quicker way to do it which doesn't need a Taxi. Just pour some gasoline down in front of the Interior Garage like I did, get on your Bike, shoot the gas trail and let the flames build up. Once they do, just press the button to enter the Interior Garage and the flames will disrupt the animation of entering. Now just get back on your Bike, press the accelerate button and now you will be taken out of the Garage in your Bike now in AP form!
***AP Vehicles can ONLY BE SAVED at Safehouse Garages or Trevor's Strip Club Parking Spaces! If you try storing them inside the Interior Garage or Impounds, the AP Properties are deleted! Not only can they be deleted like that, but if you are driving an AP Vehicle and switch Characters and then switch back, they also will be deleted. They are also deleted if you simply drive it into a Los Santos Customs (whether you are modding the Vehicle or not). Quicksaving inside of an AP Vehicle and then reloading the Save deletes the Properties I believe, as well. Likely if you try using one in a Mission, the Properties would be deleted, too, so I wouldn't try doing that!***
On Next Gen Platforms, you have a grand total of 10 (TEN) spots for AP Vehicles. Franklin's Aunt's House Garage and his Vinewood Hills Safehouse, then you have Trevor's Sandy Shores Safehouse Garage and his Strip Club Parking Spaces. Michael's Safehouse also stores two more AP Vehicles giving you a grand total of TEN AP Vehicles for every Next Gen Save assembled if that is your choice!
