Guild Wars 2 Salma District Home Instance
Well I decided to check out the Home instance in Guild Wars 2 for the first time ever. Supposedly there's more/different NPCs in here depending on your progress in the Personal Story. Having beaten it on this character I was...expecting more.
Also note, while it's called a home instance it's...More like a home-town than your character's personal dwelling. That's why I make reference to trying to find a home I thought there was one... Lol.. There isn't.
The only real thing of interest is Maddie. You can take her on if you are a fan of playing Belcher's Bluff and she gives you the Woo skill upon defeat. I am not a fan of that game though so didn't try it. She is apparently only in the human home instance so that's one special aspect I guess....
Josef sells Belcher's Bluff kits and such so once again if you like that activity it's one place to find such items.
Mira is actually from The Battle of Claw Island but it's really odd she doesn't say anything at this point lol. Not even congrats for beating an Elder Dragon?
The Quaggans were quite noticeable though but once again they don't..really say anything.
What's the point of this video really? I dunno, I was hoping this Home instance would be as good as it sounds. It's...not. Just a place for gathering nodes you won't find much to do here. It'd be so much better if there was player housing here, more mini-games, interactions like if you could actually get a drink with Petra/Andrew for a little scene or something instead of them just assuming you're too busy for it..
Also, the merchants have...Junk. Mostly. Imagine if they had ya know, things you'd actually want like maybe Quaggan themed weapon skins if you choose the Quaggan missions or something. Just anything better than level 80 white gear.
But yeah if you've cleared most of the Living Story things you'd have more nodes than me too.. But the thing is you can go into someone else's home instance and mooch off them anyhow...What's the point? lol.
The thing with the old guy at the end was amusing though, referencing the whole RPG cliche of raiding people's homes for goodies in RPGs.
There really should be more references to characters you've met though. Like maybe a special NPC depending on who your mentor was or if there was a memorial built for the fallen characters during the course of the Personal Story.
I just am bored with the game right now honestly. But I may have a better idea for a more entertaining video to take advantage of the journal that'll let me go back in time to experience some pieces of the Living Story I missed.
