Guilty Gear playthrough Part 5 Final
1I am so done with this game. Absolute frustration again today. I had to redo Zeta thanks to the rage quit - really, I didn't lose much. The 8 fights before Millia aren't that difficult. But that's all the characters that can go through story mode. The other two are available in Versus, but that doesn't matter to me. My goal is to see the endings. Though I wish it let me see intros for them as well.
Dr. Baldhead: Millia wasn't the rival, but she was right before it. And just as bad here. Instant kills, ultimate spam, going through my attacks without taking damage. Absolute abject frustration. Neither Testament nor Justice even compared to how absurd Millia's fight was, in fact Testament went down in the first match. With Justice falling not long after.
Zato-1: Take two. It didn't take long to get back to Millia, the 8 fights before are not that difficult. But my god, the next three were. I actually, somehow, managed to get Millia down before too much struggle this time. But Testament was every bit as frustrating as I was expecting. And even Justice wasn't going to fall for the usual tricks. And Zato seemed designed to exploit his weakness. Of course not, the devs knew the ranges and timing and made sure that it wouldn't work right. Though, I got my one and only instant kill off with Zato. I still hate that mechanic.
This game is too flawed to be worth playing. I am looking forward to uninstalling it and never ever playing it again. Millia and Testament are just obscenely overtuned, the instant kill mechanic is the single worst thing you can put in this type of fighting game, and the ultimate "Overdrive" attacks really need to have SOME kind of cooldown so they can't be spammed like that. Millia's is uncounterable, even if you hit her during it, the projectiles come out. And Justice's can just keep stunning you and touch of death you. This is not a well designed fighting game.
