Halo 4 (The Master Chief Collection) - Part 7
0This is Part 7 of Halo 4, and I continue through Reclaimer in this part. Master Chief and his squad move through on the Mammoth as they take on Covenant.
Master Chief and his squad come across a force field blocking their progress. Master Chief and Marines hop on a Warthog to shoot down Covenant troops and shut down the three power sources. Master Chief gets back on the Mammoth and paints another Particle Cannon for the Mini-Mac to shoot down. The Mammoth is then hit by Phantoms as a Lich dropship, forcing the Chief to leave it and enter the Lich. After taking the gravity lift to the Lich ship and clearing it of Covenant troops inside, he takes out the power core and escapes before the ship is destroyed. Back on the Mammoth, Cortana experiences a rampant episode and temporarily distorts the Chief’s HUD. The damaged Mammoth makes it to a dead end, with the Master Chief picking up a Sniper Rifle and using it to snipe on enemy forces. After sniping his way through the trench and intense shootouts with Covenant and Prometheans, he comes across a Forerunner structure and enters it. A Sentinel leads the Chief to an elevator to the lower levels of the facility, and he is led by other Sentinels to the controls to the particle cannons. Master Chief plugs Cortana into the console, and she shuts the cannons down. She suddenly disappears from the console, and the Chief follows a series of tight corridors to find five Sentinels waiting in front of a door. The door opening as he approaches, he steps into a beam of blue light with Cortana standing in it. Master Chief meets the Librarian, who tells him that he can't let the Didact leave Requiem. She adds that the Didact is seeking the Composer, a machine that will allow him to contain the greatest enemy faced by the forerunners: humans. The Librarian delivers a narrative as scenes play, and she places a genesong within Chief. The Librarian explains that the genesong contains many abilities, including immunity to the Composer, but it must be unlocked. She also explains that the Chief's evolution must be accelerated, as he can't defeat the Didact without it. Master Chief glows with energy as he accelerates his evolution. As soon as he stands up, Promethean forces show up.
