Halo 4 (The Master Chief Collection) - Part 4
0Part 4 of Halo 4. I complete Forerunner in this video. Master Chief heads for the second pylon as he continues his mission.
Master Chief arrives in a large valley, where he fights off Covenant and Prometheans. He enters the adjacent valley, where he kills a Knight and takes a Ghost to drive to the second pylon while fighting off enemy forces. Just like with the first pylon, the Chief destroys the power cores and heads for the top of the pylon. While on the elevator, he picks up another transmission from Del Rio through the video COM. Cortana attempts to warn Del Rio not to approach the planet, but she's breaking up. Master Chief emerges into the emitter chamber and deactivates the second pylon. He takes a portal back to the starting point, and another portal to the satellite. The central chamber is dominated by a Cryptum, an ominous grey sphere engraved with orange patterns. The Chief arrives at the far side of the satellite and takes out hostiles. Cortana feels like something isn't right, but the Chief places his hands on the pillars. Master Chief attempts to contact Infinity, but the Cryptum is set free, releasing the Didact. As it turns out, the Didact manipulated Infinity's signal to get the Chief and Cortana to release him. A nearby Phantom smashes into another Phantom, with both crashing into the canyon walls. Master Chief grabs one of the Ghosts in the crash site and begins his escape, with Cortana channeling energy from his shields to overdrive the Ghost's boost. While driving, he picks up a transmission from Del Rio. Charging down the valley, he drives over a chasm and enters a portal. The Chief arrives at a cliff, kick-jumping off of the Ghost. Master Chief looks up to see UNSC Infinity emerge from the clouds. The Cryptum also emerges, sending out a scanning pulse and zooming away to the Infinity at supersonic speed. Master Chief and Cortana know that the Didact is headed to the same place as them.
Master Chief begins traversing a forest on his way to the grounded UNSC Infinity. Cortana notices that the ship looks intact, but the Chief assumes that it's only because the Didact wanted to be. Commander Thomas Lasky sends a transmission through COM for help, with the Chief saying he's ready to assist. He says, "This is Sierra-117 of the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn", with Lasky asking if the Chief said "Forward Unto Dawn", but the transmission breaks up. Master Chief begins his search while the Cryptum continues to scan the ship.
