Halo: Master Chief Collection Size Downgraded
Microsoft have reduced the size of Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s massive 20GB day one updated has been reduced to 15GB, according to Eurogamer. You won’t actually need to install the update to play the campaigns for Halo 1 through 4, but it will be needed for matchmaking, and can actually already be downloaded in preparation for launch day. Regarding the pretty giant size, Halo’s Frank O’Connor said:
“For some folks it will be straight up annoying and I both apologize unreservedly for the irritance, and hope that the package and the way it works more than makes up for it.”
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be available on November 11th, exclusively on the Xbox One. It features all Halo games from 1-4 including their multiplayer components, as well as Ridley Scott’s Halo: Nightfall and a beat key for Halo 5: Guardians.
