As said in the previous Trails cover, I am completely addicted to this series with it's amazing story and fantastic music! I seriously can't recommend these games enough. There are a ton of songs I want to cover from this series, so there will definitely be more to come, and let me know if there's any you want to hear!
This is a first for me, as technically this is a cover from a game that hasn't been officially released for the English speaking audience. Though I am very exciting for the official release later this year (2022) and I highly recommend you check it out!
This is definitely a standout theme in this game so this was definitely on my list of covers from this series. The original is mainly a folky track which usually translates very well to metal, but I wanted to take this in a more proggy direction with the distorted organ and a folky intro. That said, I'm not very familiar with the Eastern folk style this based on, so for the intro I used a mixture of acoustic, clean electric and VST instruments to put my own spin on it. I also decided to put in a very obvious Dream Theater reference in the arrangement, so leave a comment if you notice it!
I had to rush this mix to get it out on time (hence the lack of keytar in this video, sorry!) but I think it turned out pretty well despite that! Hope you enjoy this cover because it was a lot of work and effort to make this one!
