Heroes of the Storm-Greymane first look and in action!
2Hello all. Recently, HOTS released a new hero we've known about since Blizzcon. He is Greymane, Lord of the Worgen. Through the majority of WoW's time, the land of Gilneas was hidden behind the Greymane wall in Silverpine. In Cata, this wall was blasted open and we discovered that the people of Gilneas survived the plague intact but instead were infected by the worgen curse. This is where Genn Greymane comes into play.
Since Malfurion exists in the game as a resto/boomy type druid, I've wanted to have a feral/guardian type druid in the game. That has not come to pass but Greymane comes close. He is an assassin but acts as both ranged (human form) and melee (worgen form). This allows him to be super versatile. While his human form can help keep him safe, his worgen form does very good DPS. It is very possible to favor either form or strike balance and properly use both.
He is rated as hard by the game and I can understand why. A good Greymane player will have muscle and tactical experience as ranged heroes like Valla and in your face heroes like Kharz. He can do the DPS of a ranged caster and/or get the amount of kills of a sniper like Nova. He has no HP sustain but he does have mana sustain. He also has one of the longest stealth reveals in the game but it is complicated to use unless talented properly. I certainly think they may have hit the mark far better on Greymane than they did with the uber squishy Lunara.
