Hey, Let's SHOOT A STAR - Class M Violence - Scratch Made Dyson Sphere Program Twitch Stream #9
After all this build up in our Scratch Made Dyson Sphere Program, it's time to finally start putting together a Dyson Swarm around a star. This is one of the most visually impressive parts of DSP, and I look forward to seeing how it will look around our Class M target. That said, there is a lot of troubleshooting I'm going to have to do for my troubleshooting, including my Green Science going to the pits, my Hydrogen production going off the rails, and setting up a line of Particle Colliders to shore up our Deuterium supply. All in all, this is an episode that may feel like it should take 2 hours but stretched a little bit anyway. But when all of the preliminary work is done, actually launching rockets to build the Dyson Sphere should just be a matter of volume instead of figuring out what the hell I'm doing.
Plus, shooting a Dyson Swarm towards a star from 3.5 AU away looks downright beautiful.
Dyson Sphere Program is a factory building game that lets you jump between planets and star systems to collect resources and build, shockingly enough, a Dyson Sphere. It is a game that has greatly captured my imagination and does not feel like it is in Early Access. But at this stage it is, and at least so far there is no combat or enemies, so we are free to build. In this series, I will be focusing on correcting the mistakes of my first play through, working more efficiently, and completing a Dyson Sphere BEFORE I do the "Mission Complete" research.
