Wayne's Ute Conversion - Holden By Design Style
23We caught up with Wayne from the West Coast Vanners at the WA Van State Title 2022 about his recent Ute Conversion. After searching for month for a V series panel van, Wayne decided to convert his Ute. So, in February 2022, Wayne sent his VU Holden Ute to Race Paint in Victoria for a Panel Van Conversion. The same way the Holden By Design did their V Series Holden Sandman.
He is very please with the work that was completed by Race Paint to convert his Ute into the Van you see today. It was worth the wait. The Van is painted white with black and silver decals and stripes that pop on the Van. He has to thank Action Trimmers in Perth for the trimming at the back of the Van and Rims to Roof Paint for painting the lower part of the van.
Wayne is still running the original V6 engine at present but has a few ideas in mind for the future. He will either have a Supercharged V6 or will do a LS engine, however, at present it all comes down to funds in the pocket. So its about a year off at present. He also has a few touch up as we all do with vehicles and they are slowly getting rectified.
He is enjoying the WA Van State Titles 2022 and the fact he is seeing new club members attending events, which is fantastic. He was lucky as the Panel Van was delivered back to Perth within two weeks of the event.
