How can you improve your communication in 2020?
Communication style is essential to getting your message across. For those of you who hope to be heard and understood within in your relationships (personal or professional) it is important that you identify your most dominant communication style. For example, your communication style may generally be shy and withdrawn with periods of assertiveness. Understanding where you stand can help you improve.
For people like me who speak and counsel for a living, it is important that I use assertive communication when I want to be heard. If I engage in passive or passive-aggressive communication I am likely to lose the listening ear of you all.
In this video, I discuss communication styles and provide examples of what each one looks like.
