Rising Above 2020's Challenges: "I Now Have Trauma...Where Do I Go From Here?!!!"
2020 hit us with a vengence.
So far there's just something about this year that makes me feel a bit uneasy.
Personally, not only did I care for my very ill grandmother and lost her in April, but professionally I began to see all my patients/clients via teletherapy. Thanks to Corona we all went inside and some "locked" themselves away for 2 months straight.
Family could not visit loved ones in public health facilities due to concerns over the spreading of the virus. Many died and regressed into poor health.
We were faced with wearing masks or getting told to leave a public place.
And now we're dealing with the largest civil rights movement and revolution ever in history!
We also can't forget the lives of color we have lost to pure callousness starting with David McAtee, then Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and many many others.
Might I also add that millions have lost employment due to Corona restrictions including their hard-earned businesses that they have labored to create and expand.
2020 has been very difficult and we're only in June!
So...how do we rise above this?
What do we need to do to ensure we have a healthy rest of the year?
Can we overcome feelings of defeat, sadness, and grief?
I will be discussing this and more in my LIVE Youtube event coming up June 26th!
Mark your calendars!
I'll see you there
