About this video: In this video, we will show you the entire process of adding mods to your already set up Minecraft server in 1.19.4. Why would you want to add mods to Minecraft 1.19.4? Well, with mods, you can do everything from make simple customizations of your server to add in entirely new tools and tech systems. The options with Minecraft 1.19.4 mods are truly endless.
Before we get started, though, it's important to note that if you haven't set up your modded Minecraft server yet, we have a complete guide on how to make a modded 1.19.4 Forged linked in the description above. It covers everything including how to fix potential issues you may have when getting a modded server up and running.
Once your 1.19.4 Forge server set up, we can move on to adding mods to it. Before we do though, it is worth mentioning that any mods you want to install must be compatible with Forge and not other mod loaders such as Fabric. Mods also need to be for Minecraft 1.19.4. Mods for other versions will not work.
Additionally, keep in mind that any mods you install on your server must also be installed locally in the mods within the .minecraft of every single player who joins the server. All players will also need to playing Minecraft with the same Forge version as the server.
With that in mind, let’s move on to how to add mods to a Minecraft server in 1.19.4. First, we need to download the mods you want to add to your server. Make sure they are compatible with Minecraft version 1.19.4 and Forge. Download the mod files from a trusted source like CurseForge or the mod creator's official website. After you have your mods downloaded, we can move on to how to install mods on a Minecraft server in 1.19.4. This is actually really simple. Just open the folder that has all of your Minecraft server files, and locate your server's "mods" folder.
Next, drag and drop the downloaded mod files into the "mods" folder. It’s that easy to get mods on a server in Minecraft 1.19.4 once you have your Forge server setup.
With all of the 1.19.4 mods add to the "mods" folder, restart your server. When it relaunches, the mods will be installed on your server.
As mentioned earlier, each player connecting to your server must also have the same mods installed locally. To do this, anyone who players on your server will need to download the same mod files you added to the server and place them in their local "mods" folder, which can be found in their .minecraft directory.
Once you have the mods installed locally, open up Minecraft with Forge, and you will be able to join your server without any issues.
