About this video: Losing your items in Minecraft can completely kill the fun of the game. Luckily, you don’t have to lose you inventory when you die in Minecraft. How can you turn on keep inventory in Minecraft? Well, this video shows you how to enable keep inventory in single-player and Minecraft servers.

Overall, enabling keep inventory is super easyin Minecraft singleplayer. All you have to do is run the command /gamerule keepInventory true. This will turn on keep inventory meaning that if you die after turning it on, you won’t lose any items. That is assuming you have cheats enabled in your world.

What if you don’t have cheats enabled in your singleplayer world though? Well, if that’s the case, open the pause menu, click the “Open To LAN” button, and make sure that the “Cheats” settings is on. Open the world to LAN, and now you can use the game rule. Quit to the main menu and rejoin your world to allow cheats to work again. It’s that easy!

Moving over to a Minecraft server, the same /gamerule keepInventory true command can be used to turn on keep inventory for everyone on the entire server. This command can be run in the console or in game by someone who has Operator Permissions.

And there you have it! That is how to enable keep inventory in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to turn on keep inventory, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
