We go over every step of how to download and install mods for a Minecraft server in 1.14.4. First and foremost, you will need to setup a #Forge server. Luckily, we have an in-depth guide on starting a #ModdedServer in 1.14.4 with Forge linked in the description above. We go over everything that you need to know in order to get a Forge server setup. Once you have a Forge server setup for 1.14.4, come back to this video and we will show you how to add mods to it.
Now that you have your Forge server setup, you will need to download some 1.14.4 Minecraft mods. Now, not all mods are server compatible or meant to work on a Minecraft server. Thus, you need to make sure that the mod you want to install is server compatible. If it is, you are good to go. If you're not sure, give it a shot by installing it on the server. If it doesn't work, then it isn't server compatible. You can find our list of 5 incredible mods for Minecraft 1.14.4 in the description above. All of those will work on your server.
Once you have your mod downloaded, it is time to add it to your Minecraft server. You can do this by opening your server folder and clicking on the 'mods' folder. Then, just drag and drop the mod that you downloaded into this mods folder. You can do this for any mods that you want to install. Just drag and drop them into your mods folder on the server. If you don't have mods folder, you don't have a 1.14.4 Forge server. You must have a Forge server to install mods. No other servers allow mods to be installed.
You aren't done just yet though. You can go ahead and start your modded server, but you will also need to download all of those mods and install them in your local mods folder as well. To do this, hit the Windows Key on your keyboard and 'R' at the exact same time, type in '%appdata%' and hit enter. This will open up your Roaming folder, go into your .minecraft folder, and then, open the 'mods' folder. Now, drag and drop all of your mods into this folder.
The last step is very simple. Just double click on the 'run.bat' file in your server folder and launch up Minecraft using the Forge profile! Now, you have gotten mods on your Minecraft server!
