About this video: One of the best and most fun ways to play Minecraft is on a server. However, Mojang doesn't make joining a Minecraft server on PC the easiest process. Thus, in this video, I show you exactly how to play multiplayer on Minecraft PC also known as Java Edition. Thus, we also show you how to play multiplayer on Minecraft Java Edition. No matter what server you want to join, we show you exactly how to do it in this video! So, let's go ahead and learn how to join a Minecraft server on PC.
First and foremost, we need to find and Minecraft server to join. Now, I would recommend our Minecraft server Play.BreakdownCraft.com, but I do realize it isn't for everyone. Thus, we have a list of the top 5 best Minecraft servers linked above. All of those servers can be joined and added to #MultiplayerMinecraft in the same exact way as BreakdownCraft as they are all Minecraft Java servers.
Once you have a Minecraft server you want to play, go ahead and open Minecraft. From the Minecraft main menu click on the 'multiplayer' button. This will take you to the server page for Minecraft. Now, this looks very empty if you have never added a server before or just bought Minecraft PC edition. You need to add a server or servers here.
To add servers to multiplayer on Minecraft PC, click the 'add server' button towards the bottom right of the screen. This will then pull up a page where you need to enter a 'Server Name' and a 'Server Address'. For the server name, just enter the name of the server you are going to play on 'BreakdownCraft' for example. For the server address, you are going to put the IP address of the server you are going to play on. Most servers make this easy to find. BreakdownCraft's IP, for example, is 'Play.BreakdownCraft.com'.
Once you have entered in your server name and IP address, go ahead and click 'Done'. You will now be taken back to the Minecraft PC multiplayer screen. You should now see the Minecraft server you added, it's player count, and if it is a bigger server, some information about the server itself. To play multiplayer on a Minecraft PC server all you need to do now is double click on the server on this page. You will now join right on it!
