About this video: This is our complete guide on how to make a Bukkit server in Minecraft 1.14.4. Bukkit, also known as CraftBukkit 1.14.4, is a #MinecraftServer platform that allows you to add plugins to Minecraft 1.14.4 servers. This video will show you exactly how to make a CraftBukkit server in Minecraft 1.14.4. From how to download Bukkit 1.14.4 to how to setup a Bukkit 1.14.4 server, we go over it. Thus, let's go ahead and get started!
First things first we need to download Bukkit. You can find a Bukkit download link in the description above. This will actually take you off to our tutorial on how to start a Bukkit server in 1.14.4. If I go too fast in this video, you can use that tutorial to go through it at your own pace. Once you are on this page though, click the yellow 'Download Bukkit' version. This will then take you off to a page where you can download CraftBukkit 1.14.4.
Now that you have Bukkit downloaded, move it to your desktop, and create a folder. You can name this folder anything, but I suggest 'Minecraft Bukkit 1.14.4 Server' so you can recognize what the folder is on your desktop. All of your server files will be in this folder. Now, drag-and-drop the #Bukkit file you downloaded into this newly created folder and open the folder. Then, right-click, select 'new', and then click 'New Text Document'. This will then create a new text document. Open this document, and copy and paste the RAM code from the description above into it. Then, click 'file', 'save as', and put the file name as 'run.bat'. For 'Save type', be sure to select 'all files'. Save your file and then double click on it in your server folder. CMD will open.
It will then fail the start-up though because you need to agree to the EULA. You'll now have an 'EULA.txt' file. Open it and change 'EULA=false' to 'EULA=true' assuming you agree to the Minecraft EULA. Double click the 'run.bat' file again, and your Bukkit 1.14.4 server will start right on up! Now, you can join your server locally, but if you want to let your friends and family join, you will need to port forward.
The ports you will need to forward are 25565 on the UDP and TCP protocol. We have an in-depth guide on port forwarding on the most popular routers linked in the description above. After you have port forwarded, get your public IP address, open up Minecraft, and join your server!
