I show you exactly how to make Minecraft 1.14.4 run faster stopping all Minecraft 1.14.4 lag. We do this by doing a few different optimizations from RAM optimization to resource pack optimization to finally setting up Optifine to allow us to increase FPS in Minecraft 1.14.4 by 100-200% depending on your computer and the setup you use. Thus, let's go ahead and start optimizing Minecraft with Optifine.
First and foremost, you need to download and install Optifine for 1.14.4. This is because Optifine is the best way to get a massive FPS improvement in Minecraft. We have our complete tutorial on downloading and install Optifine in Minecraft 1.14.4 linked in the descriptoin above. After that, we can move on to some more optimization tips. Then, we'll learn how to setup Optifine for Minecraft 1.14.4.
Next up, we need to start off in the Minecraft launcher. This is where we can upgrade our RAM amount. Minecraft doesn't need a ton of RAM anymore, but make sure that it has at least 2GB of RAM dedicated to it. If you are playing modded Minecraft, you can up that number to 4GB on the low up to as much as 10GB for extremely resource-intensive modpacks. We have an in-depth guide on changing your RAM and seeing how much RAM you need linked in the description above. Just make sure you are updating RAM on your Optifine profile.
Once you have updated your RAM, we can move in-game. Once you're there make sure you have all resource packs turned off. You should be playing with the default Minecraft resource pack to get the most lag reduction. Then, click on video settings. Once you are here, turn off any shaders packs. Shaders kill performance in Minecraft 1.14.4, so make sure you don't have shaders on if you want to #StopLag.
After that, you will need to go through all of your video settings. Change everything to as low as it will go, off, or fast. There are some exceptions. Everything in the 'Optimizations' tab needs to be turned on. Doing this will make #Minecraft look horrible, but if you want to get a big Minecraft FPS boost in 1.14.4, this is what you need to do. Once you are in game, and the lagging has stopped, we can go ahead and start changing settings and increasing them.
At this point, you can join into Minecraft 1.14.4. All the lag you have should be gone. Your FPS should be good, and you have not executed the best Minecraft lag fix for 1.14.4 by installing Optifine, setting it up, and getting your RAM in order. If you still can't play Minecraft with these #Optifine settings, you most likely don't have a good enough PC to run Minecraft 1.14.4
