About this video: In this video, we show you exactly how to add mods to a Minecraft server in 1.15.2. No matter what mod that you want to install on your Minecraft server, this video will show you exactly how to do it. We are going to be installing three awesome mods in this video. We have Biomes O' Plenty which is a great mod that adds tons of different biomes to Minecraft making exploring a lot more fun. We also are adding Useful Backpacks which adds in a few different backpack options for storing your items. Lastly, we are adding Just Enough Items to the server that way we can craft these new items easier as well as see all of the vanilla Minecraft crafting recipes.
Now, while those are the mods we are installing on our server in this video, you will install all mods for Minecraft 1.15.2 the same way on your server. Thus, without any more delay, here is how to download and install mods on a Minecraft server in Minecraft 1.15.2.
The first step of install mods on a Minecraft server is actually creating a Forge #Server. Luckily, we have an in-depth tutorial on exactly how to make a modded Minecraft Forge server in 1.15.2 linked in the description above. It goes over everything you need to know in order to get a Forge server started. After you have your Forge server started, come back to this video, and will show you how to add #Mods to it. You must have a Forge server in order to add mods to a Minecraft 1.15.2 server.
Nevertheless, once you have your Forge server started, we need to download some mods. The biggest thing when downloading mods though is making sure that you are downloading the 1.15.2 version or the version of the mod that your server is. As long as you are doing that, you are good to go!
After you have your mods downloaded, installing them on your Minecraft #Server is actually pretty easy. Just open your server’s folder, and you will see a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t have a mods folder, you don’t have the correct kind of Minecraft server. You need to go setup a Forge server using the video in the description above. After you find your mods folder though, open it. Then, drag-and-drop all of the mods you are installing on your server into this mods folder. At this point, just start your server, and your Minecraft mods will install on your server!
You also need to install any mods you added to your server locally. Do this by hitting the Windows key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the same time to open the Run application. Type ’%appdata%’, and hit enter. Then, open your .minecraft and find your mods folder. Now, copy and paste all of the mods from your server mods folder into this mods folder. Now, open Minecraft 1.15.2 with Forge and join your server!
