How to Add Multiple Monitors to OBS on PC (Display 1, 2, 3)
Adding multiple monitors to OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) on your PC can enhance your streaming and recording experience. Here are the steps to set it up:
Display Capture in OBS:
Open OBS Studio.
Create a new scene or use an existing one.
Click the “+” button under the “Sources” section.
Choose “Display Capture.”
Select the display (monitor) you want to capture. You can add multiple display captures for different monitors.
Adjust the position and size of the captured display as needed.
Click “OK” to add it to your scene.
Multiview Feature (Efficient Stream Management):
OBS Studio has a Multiview feature that allows you to manage multiple sources efficiently.
To enable Multiview:
Go to the “View” menu and select “Multiview.”
Choose either “Multiview (Windowed)” to display it in a separate window or “Multiview (Fullscreen)” to dedicate it to a specific monitor.
In the “Settings”- “Video” section, select your desired monitor from the “Multiview Monitor” dropdown menu.
Recording Multiple Monitors Simultaneously:
If you want to record two 1920x1080 monitors simultaneously in the same video:
Set the canvas and output resolution in OBS to 3840x1080.
Add two display captures to your scene, one for each monitor.
Position the sources appropriately on the canvas (left monitor on the left half, right monitor on the right half)
