How to Add TWITCH Stream Key to OBS on PC (Easy Tutorial)
Adding your Twitch stream key to OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) on your PC is essential for streaming to Twitch. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Install OBS Studio:
First, download and install OBS Studio from the official website. OBS Studio is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Once installed, open OBS Studio.
Create a Profile:
From the top menu bar, select “Profile” and then choose “New.”
Enter a name for your profile. This name is for your streaming setup and won’t be shared with others.
Get Your Twitch Stream Key:
Go to the official Twitch website.
Click on your avatar in the top-right corner and select “Dashboard.”
In the left menu, click on “Settings” and then choose “Stream Key.”
Click the purple “Show Key” button.
Copy your stream key (a long string of random letters and numbers) to your clipboard.
Configure OBS Studio:
Open OBS Studio and click on the settings button (the gear icon).
In the left sidebar, click on “Stream.”
From the “Service” dropdown menu, select “Twitch.”
Choose a server location that is close to you.
In the “Stream Key” field, paste the Twitch stream key you copied earlier.
Click “OK” to save your settings.
Start Streaming:
Set up your scenes and sources (such as display capture, webcam, text, etc.) in OBS Studio.
When you’re ready to go live, click the “Start Streaming” button in OBS.
