How to Adjust the Sound Volume on Windows 11 PC (Increase or Decrease)
Adjusting the sound volume on your Windows 11 PC is straightforward. Here are a few methods you can use:
Quick Settings Menu:
Click the Quick Settings button in your taskbar (it’s a hidden button located near the Wi-Fi, Speaker, and Battery icons).
Locate the volume slider (with a speaker icon) and drag it right or left to increase or decrease the system volume (from 0 to 100).
To mute the sound, click the speaker icon next to the slider. When muted, the icon will have a small “X” beside it. Click it again to unmute.
Windows Settings:
Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.
Navigate to System - Sound.
Under the Output section, select the device you want to adjust.
Use the Volume slider to make the sound output louder or quieter.
Click the speaker icon to mute the system volume.
App-Specific Volume:
Right-click the sound icon on your Taskbar.
Select “Sound Mixer”.
Adjust the volume slider for individual apps or click the speaker button to mute specific apps.
