3Adding another user to your Windows 11 PC is straightforward. Here are the steps:
Microsoft Account (Recommended):
The best way to add someone to your PC is by having them sign in with a Microsoft account. This allows them to access their own files, browser favorites, and desktop settings. Here’s how:
Click on the Start button.
Go to Settings.
Select Accounts.
Choose Family & other users.
Under Other users, click Add other user.
Enter the Microsoft account information for the new user and follow the prompts.
If you need to remove their sign-in information later, you can do so by going to Family & other users and selecting the account you want to remove. Click on Remove next to “Account and data.” Note that this won’t delete their Microsoft account; it’ll only remove their sign-in info from your PC1.
Local User Account (Without Microsoft Account):
If you prefer not to use a Microsoft account, you can create a local user account. Here’s how:
Click on the Start button.
Go to Settings.
Select Accounts.
Choose Family & other users.
Under Other users, click Add other user.
Select I don’t have this person’s sign-in information.
Click Add a user without a Microsoft account and enter a username and password.
Optionally, change the account type to Administrator if needed.
To switch to the new account, click on the Start button, then the current user account, and select the new account.
Work or School Accounts:
If you’re using the same PC for both personal and work/school purposes, you can add various accounts to your PC. Here’s how:
