How to Change Microphone input on Windows 11 PC (Settings Tutorial)
To change the microphone input on your Windows 11 PC, you have a few options:
Using the Taskbar Shortcut:
Right-click the volume icon (the speaker) in the taskbar.
Select “Open Volume Mixer.”
In the Volume Mixer page that opens, under the “Input Device” section, click the drop-down menu and choose the microphone you want to use.
Close the Settings, and you’re all set.
Using Windows Settings:
Press Windows + I on your keyboard to open Settings.
Select “System” in the sidebar, then choose “Sound.”
Scroll down to the “Input” section.
Click the circular radio button next to the microphone or input device you’d like to use.
If your desired microphone isn’t listed, try unplugging and reconnecting it, restarting your PC, or installing a driver from the manufacturer.
Adjust the input level using the “Volume” slider below the microphone selection list.
Your changes are automatically saved when you close Settings
