Steps to Assemble
Step 1: Prepare Components
Organize shell (front, back grips, top piece), motherboard, buttons, R1/L1 bumpers, springs, thumbsticks, and five T8 screws.
Clean components with a dry cloth or isopropyl alcohol.
Step 2: Install Internal Components
Motherboard:
Place motherboard in the custom front shell, aligning with screw posts.
Reconnect ribbon cables (e.g., Share button) using tweezers; secure locking tabs.
Fasten with internal screws (if any).
Buttons & Thumbsticks:
Insert ABXY, D-pad, and Share buttons into front shell cutouts.
Snap thumbstick caps onto analog posts (align D-shape, press until they click).
R1/L1 Bumpers:
Place springs in top plastic piece slots using tweezers (stand vertically).
Clip R1/L1 bumpers into hinges, ensuring springs provide tension.
Test bumpers for smooth clicking.
Step 3: Attach Front Faceplate
Align custom front shell with internal frame, starting at triggers.
Press to snap clips; insert center screw (battery compartment) loosely to hold.
Step 4: Install Back Cover
Top Plastic Piece:
Place over bumpers and triggers, ensuring R1/L1 and R2/L2 move freely.
Snap into front shell; recheck bumper springs if sticky.
Side Grips:
Snap custom side grips onto handles, pressing clips until they click.
If resistant, check for misalignment or debris.
Step 5: Secure Controller
Tighten five T8 screws (one in battery compartment, two in top grips, two in bottom grips). Don’t overtighten.
Reinstall batteries and battery cover.
Check for gaps or loose parts.
