In this video I show you how to change DualSense Edge Controller Settings. You can change the settings on a DualSense Edge controller using the accessories settings on a PS5. However, your DualSense Edge controller will need to be connected to the PS5 for this to work.

When in the accessories settings you will see a DualSense Edge Wireless Controller option. Selecting the option will allow you to adjust the settings. Typically, you will want to select the custom profiles option so you can remap buttons and change your controller settings.

With the DualSense Edge controller you can setup different profiles which have their own settings. This allows you to switch between the different profiles to get the exact settings you want. Typically, profiles are setup for different games, allowing you to quickly switch between your preferred controller settings for each game. However, you can create profiles for different users, or with different tasks in mind.

You can remap buttons on the DualSense Edge controller by opening the customise button assignments settings. Here you will see your controller with each button labelled. Additionally each button will show its currently mapped button bind. To change a button bind select a button by pressing X on your controller, then scroll through and find the new button you want to bind. Once the button is selected you will need to press X again on your controller to confirm.

Additionally, you can remap the back buttons or paddles on the back of your controller. The option for these are located at the bottom of the customise button assignments page. Again, you can select any button to remap your paddles to.

Once you are happy with your button binds you will need to select the Apply option. This will save your settings to the profile. Whenever the profile is enabled your buttons will be remapped to your selection.

Additionally, you can adjust the stick sensitivity curve and deadzones for your controller. Although this is a great feature, many games provide an in-game option for sensitivity curve and deadzones. Due to this, you may prefer to leave your stick options as default. However, you can of course customise your stick settings to your liking.

Another feature is the ability to change your trigger deadzones. With this feature you can adjust how sensitive your triggers are. Again, many games allows you to customize your trigger deadzones so you may prefer to change this in game. However, having the feature included in the controller settings is always a great option. If you find yourself accidently clicking your triggers then you may want to change the deadzones to prevent the issue.

With the DualSense Edge Controller you also have the ability to customise the controller vibration intensity, and the trigger effect intensity. If you don’t like controller vibration or the trigger effect, then you will want to turn these off. However, you can also set the intensity to weak if you still want the experience, but don’t want to be overwhelming.

When you are happy with your DualSense edge settings you will need to assign the profile. Doing this will allow you to quickly switch to the assigned profile, and use your controller settings.
