When you press the PS button on your controller the control center overlay will open. You can use the control center to turn off your PS5, switch between games, or even turn off your controller. The control center overlay serves as a useful tool to allow you to perform important actions while gaming. As the control center overlay appears on top of your game, you can keep an eye on your game while making changes.
If you turn off your PS5 with your controller then your controller will also be turned off. This makes it easier to turn off both devices in one move. Additionally, turning on your controller again will turn your PS5 back on.
