About this video: This video is a quick guide on how to make crops grow faster in Minecraft. This is done by learning how to change the tickspeed in Minecraft resulting in crops growing faster, firespreading faster, and more!

First things first, the randomTickSpeed can be changed on both a Minecraft server and singleplayer. This means that no matter what you can set your Minecraft tick speed and get all of the benefits it can provide.

In order to change the tick speed though, you will need cheats enabled in a singleplayer world or OP on a Minecraft server. This is because you will need to execute a command on the server in order to change the random tick speed.

Finally, to change the tick speed in Minecraft, use the command /gamerule randomTickSpeed #

The “#” in the above command will be replaced with a number representing what you want the tick speed to be. By default, Minecraft’s randomTickSpeed is set to 3. Increasing the tick speed to 6 will double how fast things grow in-game.

You can increase the tick speed drastically though. For example, setting the tick speed to 1000 can result in crops growing nearly instantly.

If you forget what the tick speed in Minecraft is set to just run the command /gamerule randomTickSpeed without a number. This will show you the current tick speed so you know what to change it to.

It is important to note that capitalization is important. So “randomTickSpeed” must been capitalized in that format in order for it to work. Any other capitalization will result in the command failing and the tick speed not being changed.

With that being said, you now know how to change the TickSpeed in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to update the Minecraft randomTickSpeed, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
