Is your iPhone voicemail greeting still the default message, or perhaps an outdated greeting you recorded ages ago? Whether you're looking to add a touch of personality or simply need to update your message for professional reasons, changing the voicemail greeting on your iPhone is a quick and easy way to make a great first impression on your callers.
In this video I'll walk you through the steps to record a new voicemail greeting, ensuring that everyone who reaches your voicemail hears exactly what you want them to.
Step 1. Tap to open the "Phone" app on your iPhone, and then tap "Voicemail" in the row of options along the bottom of the screen. You'll land on the Voicemail screen.
Step 2. Tap "Greeting" at the top of this screen. The Greeting screen is shown.
Step 3. Tap to place a check mark next to "Custom."
Step 4. Tap "Record." Speak your iPhone voicemail message, and then tap "Stop" when you're done. Tap "Play" to preview your message. If you're not happy with it, you can always tap "Record" to try recording it again. Going forward, your new greeting will automatically play as your iPhone voicemail greeting.
