How to Change your Password on PS5 Settings (Best Method)
0Changing your PlayStation Network (PSN) password on your PS5 is a good security practice, especially if you think your account may have been compromised. Here is the best method to do it directly from your console's settings.
Important: You must know your current password to be able to change it using this method. If you have forgotten your password, you will need to reset it online (see the "What if you forgot your password?" section below).
The Best Method: Change Password on PS5
From the PlayStation 5 home screen, navigate to the Settings icon (the gear in the top-right corner) and press the X button.
Scroll down and select Users and Accounts.
In the menu on the left, select Account.
On the right-hand side, select Security.
You will be prompted to re-enter your current password to verify your identity.
After entering your current password, select Password.
You will be asked to enter your old password one more time, and then you can create and confirm your new password.
Choose a strong password that is at least 8 characters long and includes a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Select Continue or OK to save your new password.
Your PSN password is now changed and will apply to all devices where your account is signed in.
