How to Stream to Youtube on PS5 & Broadcast Now (Best Method)
Streaming directly to YouTube from your PS5 is a fantastic way to share your gameplay with a wide audience. The console's built-in "Broadcast" feature makes the process straightforward.
Step 1: Link Your YouTube Account
Before you can broadcast, you must link your YouTube account to your PSN account.
From the PlayStation 5 home screen, navigate to Settings (the gear icon).
Select Users and Accounts.
Choose Link with Other Services from the menu on the left.
Select YouTube.
Follow the on-screen instructions. A QR code or a unique code will appear. You will need to use your phone or a web browser on a computer to scan the QR code or enter the code to authorize the connection.
You may need to verify your YouTube account for live streaming before you can broadcast. If you encounter an error, go to the YouTube website on a computer to verify your account.
Step 2: Start Your Broadcast
Once your accounts are linked, you're ready to start streaming.
Launch the game you want to stream.
Press the Create button on your DualSense controller (the button to the left of the touchpad). This will bring up the Create menu.
Select Broadcast.
Choose YouTube as your streaming service.
Step 3: Configure Your Broadcast Settings
Before going live, you'll be taken to a screen with various options to customize your stream.
Broadcast Title: Give your stream a name that will attract viewers.
Description and Tags: Fill these out to help people find your stream.
Privacy: You can set your stream to Public, Unlisted, or Private. For a live stream, you will most likely want to set this to Public.
Include Video from Camera: If you have the PlayStation HD Camera, you can enable this to show your face on the stream.
Include Microphone Audio: Make sure this is checked to use your controller's microphone or a connected headset to talk.
Include Party Audio: This is an important setting. If you want your party members' voices to be included in the stream, make sure this is checked. Note that your friends will also need to enable this setting in their own party chat settings.
Overlays: You can choose where to place the chat and other stream overlays on the screen.
Video Quality: Select the resolution and frame rate for your broadcast. A higher quality (like 1080p 60fps) requires a strong internet connection. You might need to experiment with different settings to find what works best with your network.
Step 4: Go Live!
