To stream your PS5 to Discord using a capture card without lag, you'll need to set up your hardware and software correctly. A capture card provides a direct, high-quality video signal to your computer, which you then stream to Discord, bypassing the limitations of methods like PS Remote Play.

PS5 and Capture Card Setup 🎮
Disable HDCP: This is the most crucial first step. HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) is a form of copy protection that will prevent your capture card from receiving a video signal from your PS5. Navigate to Settings System HDMI on your PS5 and disable Enable HDCP.

Connect the Hardware: 🔌

Connect one HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port on your PS5 to the HDMI IN port on your capture card.
