Method 1: The Quick Mute/Unmute
The fastest way to control your controller's microphone is with the dedicated mute button.
Mute Button: The small, clear button with a microphone icon located below the PlayStation button.
To Mute Your Mic: Press the mute button once. It will light up orange, indicating that your microphone is off. Other players will not be able to hear you.
To Unmute Your Mic: Press the button again. The orange light will turn off, and your microphone will be active.
