In this video, I will be showing you how to clear and delete PuTTY's cached Ssh host keys on your Windows 11 PC. When you first connect to a server, you are always greeted with a PuTTY security alert notification where you're asked if you would like to add the key to PuTTY's cache and carry on connecting. Most likely, you chose to Accept for PuTTY to add the key to its cache and you also completed the log in process, caching the servers Ssh host key. If you want to connect and log in just once to your server without adding the key to the cache, you can choose to Connect Once. Caching the Ssh host key for your server, ensures that you will not be greeted again with the PuTTY security alert. Clearing your PuTTY Ssh host key cache and connecting to your server again treats your connection attempt as a first time log in attempt to the server and PuTTY will once again greet you with the PuTTY security alert notification.
