How To Find Your Forgotten Wi-Fi Password For A Network You Automatically Connect To On Windows 11
11In this video, I will show you how to find your forgotten Wi-Fi password on a Windows PC. If you have previously connected to the Wi-Fi network or are currently connected using connect automatically, you can recover it using a simple Windows command prompt command.

Steps To Find your forgotten Wi-Fi password in Windows 11:
1. Click on the network & internet symbol at the bottom right hand corner
2. Click on the arrow next to the Wi-Fi icon to see the network you're connected to and all available networks
3. Note the name of the network that you used to know the password to
4. Navigate to your taskbar and click on Search
5. Type cmd
6. Click on the Command Prompt App to open
7. Maximise the command prompt window by clicking on the maximize button
8. Paste or type in the following command into your command prompt :
netsh wlan show profile NETWORK_NAME key=clear
Note: Remember to replace NETWORK_NAME with your Wi-Fi networks name.
9. Press Enter on your keyboard to execute the command
10. Windows command prompt will then produce an output. In the output, look for Security settings and locate Key Content. Here, you will be able to see your networks password
11. Close the command prompt window, and click once again click on the network & internet symbol at the bottom right hand corner of your Windows taskbar
12. Click on the arrow next to the Wi-Fi icon once again
13. Click on your Wi-Fi network. If you're currently connected to your Wi-Fi network, right click on your network, and click on Forget
14. Click on Connect (Optional: you can checkmark the box next to Connect automatically if you want or leave it uncheck marked)
15. Enter the network security key which is your Wi-Fi password
16. Click Next.
Congratulations, you have successfully recovered your Wi-Fi networks password.
