How to connect a MacBook Air M1 to a HDMI monitor display or TV Works for MacBook Pro M1 Mac Mini M1
273In this video I'm showing you how to connect a MacBook Air M1 to an external monitor or TV or any kind of HDMI display.
The cable used is a USB C to HDMI video cable by SyncWire.
The cable will also allow you to connect a MacBook Pro M1 to a monitor and this USB C to HDMI cable will also work for connecting a Mac Mini M1 to a second external monitor after you've used up the Mac Mini M1 HDMI output.
In fact, this video cable will allow you to connect any Mac M1 device to an external display.
Using this cable will give you the option to have a second display on your Mac M1 to extend the desktop in a dual monitor setup or to simply connect any Mac M1 to a monitor so you can mirror the output.
In this example I'm mirroring the display of my MacBook Air M1 to an external computer monitor so I have a single monitor setup that allows for a bigger display of what I'm watching on the MacBook Air M1 screen.
This is basically the same thing as connecting a Mac M1 to a display using a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable. In reality for 4K 60FPS, there's no real difference between a USB C to HDMI cable or a Thunderbolt to HDMI cables.
These cables are often called dongles, adapters and converters. In this instance they're pretty much one of the same.
