Editing 8K video on iPad Pro M1 2021 using LumaFusion
62In this video I'm showing an example of editing 8K video on an iPad Pro M1 or more precisely, editing 8K video footage on an iPad Pro M1 2021 using LumaFusion version 3 for the video editing. The source footage is 8K 24FPS H.265 HEVC MP4 video files shot on a Samsung Galaxy S21 smartphone.
Although this video is for my YouTube buddy, Tone from Tone's Adventures, it may be useful for others who use or who are using or thinking about getting LumaFusion for their Apple 2021 iPad Pro M1 or other iOS devices.

I've been trying stuff out on the iPad Pro 2020 as well with LumaFusion 3 and things such as video encoding exporting from LumaFusion render in the same time as it does on the iPad Pro M1. Which suggests that there may not be much difference between the 2020 and 2021 M1 iPad Pros. There will be a video about that soon on my channel. I will also do some stuff on my channel with the iPad Pro 2020 and LumaFusion 3 soon.
LumaFusion also works really well on the Apple MacBook Air M1, something that I've been testing a lot as well. In fact, LumaFusion 3 on the MacBook Air M1 will also edit Apple ProRes video files. More on that stuff in future videos.
Although I'm new to LumaFusion 3 and am still learning stuff about it, I'm already blown away by what it can do and it is super cheap for what it is.
So what is the take from this video? Well, if you've ever asked yourself the questions. Can you edit 8K video on an iPad Pro M1? Or. Can you edit 8K video in LumaFusion? Then the answer to both questions is a massive YES.
