How To Create A Google Account Nickname

In this video, I will show you how to create a nickname for your Google account. I will also show you how you can incorporate your newly created nickname into your Google account display name.

Steps To Create A Google Account Nickname:

1. Open your browser and navigate to https://www.google.com
2. Navigate to the top right hand corner and Sign in to your Google account
3. Once you have Signed in, go to the top right hand corner and click on your Google accounts profile picture
4. Click on the button under your email called "Manage your Google Account"
5. You will now be in your Google accounts Home section, look to the side menu to the left hand side and click on the third option called "Data and privacy"
6. Scroll down until you see "Info that you can share with others". Click on the arrow to the right hand side of "Profile"
7. You will now be in the "About me" section of your Google account, under "Basic info" click the arrow to the right of "Name"
8. To create a nickname click on the pencil/pen icon to the right of "Nickname"
9. Enter a nickname into the blank text box and click "Save"
10. To incorporate your Nickname in your Name, click on the arrow to the right of "Display name as" and choose your new display name for your Google account. Once done, click "Save" to confirm your new Google account display name.

Congratulations, you have successfully created a Google Account Nickname and included it in your Display Name.
