Steps To Resize Your DigitalOcean Droplet:
1. Log in to your DigitalOcean account
2. Navigate to the top left hand corner and choose the project which houses the droplet that you would like to resize by left clicking on it
3. Once done, find the droplet from your list of droplets from that specific project, that you would like to resize. Click on the three horizontal dots to the right of that droplet
4. Click Resize droplet
5. Turn off your Droplet to ready it for resizing, by navigating to the toggle at the top right hand corner, which should say "ON" in green and left click on it
6. click the red button which says turn off
7. The toggle will then say "OFF" in grey when your droplet has been successfully powered off.
8. To resize your droplet you have two options, the first option is to resize your droplets "CPU and RAM only" which is an option that can be reversed, and the second option is to resize "Disk, CPU and RAM" which is permanent resizing and cannot be reversed. Click on one of the two options which best fits your requirement needs.
9. Once a resize option has been chosen, scroll down and choose your new plan by simply clicking on the blank circle to the left of it. You can make your search for your new plan easier by using the tabs at the top of the droplet plan table as by default it is set at "All Types"
10. Click the "Resize" button in blue and your droplet will begin resizing. You can check the progress of the droplet undergoing resizing by scrolling to the top of the web page and you should see the status of your droplet and a blue progress bar. Once the progress bar fills you will be greeted with a small message at the top left which says "Droplet has been resized"
11. Once your droplet has been resized according to the plan you chose, turn it back on by left clicking on the toggle once again at the top right hand corner. You will know your droplet is back on when the toggle has turned from a grey "OFF" to a green "ON"

Congratulations, you have successfully resized your DigitalOcean droplet to a new server plan.
