First things first, we need to download Ore Excavation. Now, the official VeinMiner mod hasn’t updated to version 1.19. For this reason, we will need to use the Ore Excavation mod instead. This mod has every single feature that VeinMiner has with some really cool additional features as well.
The first step to download VeinMiner though is going to the Ore Excavation download link above. That will take you to our website where you can scroll down and click the ‘Download Ore Excavation’ button to go to the official VeinMiner 1.19 download page. On this page, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down to the Minecraft 1.19 section. You will see a version of Ore Excavation here. Click the download button next to it to start the download. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.
Before we can add VeinMiner to 1.19, we need to download and install the Forge Mod Loader. Forge is what allows Minecraft 1.19 mods to work in game, and you can find our complete guide on getting Forge 1.19 in the description above. Once you have Forge, we can move on to how to install VeinMiner for Minecraft 1.19! To do this, open up Minecraft with Forge. Then, from the Minecraft main menu, click on the ‘Mods’ button. Next, click the ‘Open Mods Folder’ button in the bottom right. This will open your mods folder. Then, drag-and-drop the Ore Excavation file you downloaded into your mods folder. It’s that easy to install VeinMiner in Minecraft 1.19.
You aren’t completely finished though. To actually use VeinMiner for 1.19, you need to restart Minecraft making sure that you reopen it with the Forge installation. When Minecraft opens back up, Ore Excavation will be installed. You can see and change the VeinMiner key in Options, Controls, Keybinds. It is located at the very bottom.
