The first step of getting Better Sprinting is actually downloading and install Forge 1.16.5. The good news is we have an in-depth tutorial for getting Forge linked in the description above. After you have Forge, it is time to download Better Sprinting 1.16.5. You can find the Better Sprinting download link in the description above. Once you are there, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under that, you will see a version of Better Sprinting. Click the orange download button to the right of this version. It may not say it is for 1.16.5, but it will still work perfectly fun. You may need to keep/save the file depending on your browser, and the toggle sprint mod for Minecraft is perfectly safe to download.
Once you have it downloaded, open up the Minecraft launcher, select the Forge profile, and open up Minecraft 1.16.5 with Forge. On the Minecraft main menu, click on the ‘mods’ button. You will then see an ‘open mods folder’ in the bottom right. Click that, and your Minecraft mods folder will open. Now, to install Better Sprinting in Minecraft 1.16.5, just drag-and-drop the file you downloaded in this mods folder. It’s that simple and that easy!
You aren’t completely done though, you still need to close out of Minecraft and open it back up with to actually be able to play Minecraft with toggle sprint. How do you toggle sprint in Minecraft? Well, once you are in-game, just hit ‘O’ on your keyboard. This will open up all of the Better Sprinting settings allowing you to set toggle sneak, toggle run, and all of the other settings that Better Sprinting has.
