The quickest way to duplicate a video in After Effects CC is to use the duplicate keyboard shortcut. The default shortcuts for duplicating are layer are Ctrl + D on PC, and Command + D on a Mac. When a layer is duplicated in After Effects the new layer will be placed on top of the current. A duplicated layer will be exactly the same as the first one. All keyframes and effects will also be duplicated with the layer.

Another way to duplicate a layer in After Effects is to copy and paste. This is easy to remember as copy and paste keyboard shortcuts are the same across all software.
