Here are the steps to factory reset your Apple AirPods or AirPods Pro:

Place your AirPods in their charging case and close the lid.
Wait for 30 seconds.
Open the lid of your charging case.

On your device, go to Settings - Bluetooth, and tap the “i” icon next to your AirPods. Then, tap Forget This Device and confirm.

Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light flashes amber, then white.
Reconnect your AirPods by placing them close to your device and following the on-screen instructions
