How to Find your IP Address on your Android Phone (Settings Tutorial)
1To find your IP address on an Android phone, follow these steps:
Open the Settings App: Locate and open the “Settings” app on your Android device. You can usually find it represented by a gear icon on your home screen or in the app drawer.
Navigate to Wi-Fi & Network Settings: Within the Settings menu, tap on either “Wi-Fi & Network” or “Connections,” depending on your Android version.
Select Wi-Fi: Tap on the “Wi-Fi” option to view details about your wireless network. You’ll see a list of available networks, but focus on the one you’re currently connected to.
View Your IP Address: Press on the network name you’re connected to. This action will open up additional details. Look for the “IP address” field among the information provided. Your IP address will be displayed there. It typically looks something like “192.168.1.1” or “10.0.0.2.”
Remember:
Make sure your Android device is connected to a Wi-Fi network. If you’re using mobile data, the IP address will be different and can usually be found under “Mobile Network” settings.
Your IP address can change each time you connect to a different network.
Don’t confuse the IP address with the MAC address, which is a different identifier for your device.
