How to Forget Wireless Network on Windows 11 PC (Internet Tutorial)
To forget a saved Wi-Fi network on Windows 11, you have a couple of options:
Quick Settings Method:
Click the Quick Settings button located in the far right corner of the Windows taskbar (it’s hidden and positioned over the Wi-Fi and sound volume icons).
In the Quick Settings menu, find the Wi-Fi control button and click the sideways-facing arrow inside it.
Locate the Wi-Fi access point you want to forget, right-click it, and select “Forget”. This action will clear the stored settings for that specific network.
If the network was previously the default Wi-Fi access point, your PC will no longer attempt to connect to it automatically.
To reconnect to the network later, click the “Connect” button below the Wi-Fi network’s name in the list, enter the password, and you’ll be back online.
Settings App Method:
Open Settings (press Windows + I).
Navigate to Network & Internet - Wi-Fi.
Click “Manage Known Networks”.
Find the Wi-Fi network you want to remove and click the “Forget” button next to it.
Windows 11 will delete the network from your list of known networks.
You’re all set! Your PC won’t automatically connect to that network anymore.
